Teun de Nooijer, 36 is the highest capped player in the world who represented The Netherlands in 453 international matches is among the nine stars from the country who will feature in the player’s auction to be held in December in New Delhi for the most prestigious Hockey India League in January next year.

 Dutch Midfielder Teun de Nooijer who made his debut in 1994 against New Zealand has always been a key member of the Dutch team that participated in 4 Olympic Games including Atlanta 1996 (Gold), Sydney 2000 (Gold), Athens 2004 (Silver) and London 2012 (Silver) with three World Cups including Utrecht 1998 (Gold), Kuala Lumpur 2006 (Bronze) and New Delhi (Bronze). Having earned FIH World Player of the year award in 2003, 2005 and 2006 Teun de Nooijer participated in as many as nine Champions Trophy tournaments since 2000.

 Floris Evers, skipper of the Silver medal winning Netheralands team during Olympic Games in London this year is also set to join the league. With 230 caps, the 29 year old Floris Evers has a vast experience in the dutch side. He has been key member of the Netherlands team that won silver medal during Athens Olympic Games 2004. Also he was continuous member of The Netherlands team during the Champions Trophy from 2004 to 2007.

The 27 year old Netherlands trustworthy defender Wouter Jolie (122 caps which includes Olympic Games in London 2012 (Silver), World Cup in New Delhi 2010 (Bronze) and five Champions Trophy events from 2007 to 2011). Marcel Balkestein, 31 has played in 84 matches including Olympic Games in London 2012 (Silver), World Cup in Delhi 2012 (Bronze), Champions Trophy in Germany 2010 (Bronze), Champions Trophy in Australia 2009 (Bronze) and Champions Trophy in Chennai 2005 (Silver).

Taeke Taekema 32, is another respected defender who has experience of 239 internationals scoring 221 goals. He has been key member of Netherlands team in the Athens Olympic  Games in 2004 (Silver) scoring 7 goals and Beijing Olympic Games in 2008 (4th position) scoring maximum number of 11 goals.  Having participated in 3 World Cups (2002, 2006, 2010),  Taeke has also participated in eight Champions Trophy events since 2000 having won top scorer award during this event in 2002 and 2006.

Jeroen Hertzberger 26 year old striker has also signed for Hockey India League players auction. Having an experience of 110 caps, Jeroen is recently selected in the National team for the Champions Trophy 2012. He represented his national team in the Beijing Olympic Games 2008 and also participated in five Champions Trophy tournaments since 2007.

28 year old Jaap Stockmann who is the current goalkeeper of the Dutch team and has experience of 63 international games. He also represented his national team that won silver medal this year at the London Olympic Games.

The 26 year old Midfielder/ Defender Sander Baart (35 caps) and 26 year old Midfielder Tim Jenniskens (38 caps) are also available for Hockey India League starting 5 January 2013.

Ropni Kumari, Indian Women’s Hockey Team defender, looked back on the previous year and explained how consistent opportunities to play with the Indian Junior Women's Hockey Team have contributed to her development. The 19-year-old was part of the team that claimed the Gold medal at the Women's Junior Asia Cup 2023 and also travelled with the team to Dusseldorf, Germany for the 2023 4 Nations Junior Women's Invitational Tournament. Ropni was also a key player for the side at the 2023 FIH Junior World Cup in Santiago, Chile and played in all six games.
