New Delhi, 20 February 2013: An all round display by the Indian men’s team helped maintain their supremacy against team Oman on the third day of the Hero Hockey World League Round 2, Delhi 2013 played today at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium.

India defeated Oman 9-1 by scoring at regular intervals in the first and second half of the game. Raghunath converted an early penalty corner into the first goal for Team India in the 3rd minute of the game. Rupinder Pal Singh scored in the 14thand 38th min through penalty corners, Nithin Thimmaiah (16th min & 60th min), Dharamvir Singh (20th min), Raghunath (40th min penalty corner), Mandeep Singh (42nd min), Gurjinder Singh (65th min).

Oman scored just one goal by converting a penalty corner through Mohamed Hubais AL Shar in the 35th min of the match.

Skipper Sardar Singh was adjudged Player of the Match.

India will now face Ireland on Thursday, 21 February 2013 at 20:00 and Oman will play against Bangladesh on Thursday, 21 February 2013 at 16:00.
