Wizards will be high on confidence post their match against Rhinos, while the Magicians will be playing to win their first match in the League

28 January 2014, Mumbai: Uttar Pradesh Wizards and Dabur Mumbai Magicians will be clashing against each other in Mumbai tomorrow. Both teams will be playing their second match of HHIL 2014 and while one had a convincing win the other has a loss in its name. With one wanting to continue its winning run, the other will aim at sending the message across that they should not be taken lightly. It is yet to be seen who keeps its nerves and comes out the winner tomorrow.

Playing their first match against Jaypee Punjab Warriors, Mumbai Magicians played a good game of hockey and at one point were leading the games with 3 goals to 2. But the team lost the momentum in the later part of the game and eventually lost to the Warriors. But tomorrow will be a new day and the team will like to leave the match against the Warriors behind and will be looking at taking on the Wizards with a zeal which will ensure them a win.

The UP Wizards clash against the Ranchi Rhinos was the much awaited clash as many were waiting for the Wizards answer to the Rhinos, post their loss to them in the semi-final clash in HHIL 2013. The Wizards on Sunday stunned the crowd at Ranchi by beating the defending champions on their home ground and which in a way has sent the word across that no team is strong over the other and no team can be declared winner before the game is played.

It is yet to be seen if, tomorrow Nikkin Thimmaiah and V R Raghunath can yet again remain calm under pressure situations and score for the team. It is yet to be seen if, Mark Gleghorne and Ravipal Singh who for the first time are representing the MM can continue their goal scoring run tomorrow against the Wizards.

Speaking on the match tomorrow against Mumbai, Captain P R Sreejesh said, “disappointing first match and small errors led to opponent scoring against us. Upcoming match we will work towards not repeating those mistakes again. As the team is good at penalty corners, hoping we convert the chances that we get.”

Speaking on team and expectations Head Coach of Dabur Mumbai Magicians M K Kaushik said, “in our first match though the team played well we got weak in our defense in the second half of the game. We need to start winning matches at our home turf as this builds confidence and makes the opponents think and rethink their strategy.”

Speaking before their match against Dabur Mumbai Magicians, Captain of UP Wizards, V R Raghunath said, “it’s a new day tomorrow and a new match for us. After our win against Ranchi Rhinos, we would be playing with a positive mind. We will stick to our strength and would try to rectify the mistakes that we made in our first game.”

The game tomorrow is scheduled at Mumbai will be played at 8 pm. With Star Sports as the official broadcasters for the League, Hockey fans can catch the excitement LIVE on the channel.
