Daily complimentary tickets are available for former hockey Olympians


New Delhi, 14 February 2013: Tickets for the Hero Hockey World League Round 2 2013, Delhi were released today and will be available at the ticket counter of Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium at Gate No. 5 from 10 am to 6 pm daily.

 

Tickets are also available at www.ticketgenie.in website, which is the official online ticketing partner of the Hero Hockey World League Round 2, 2013 to be held from 18 February to 24 February 2013.

 

Moreover, tickets are also accessible at 20 outlets of Mobile Stores across Delhi. These outlets include Connaught Place, South Extension Part 1, Greater Kailash 2, Kamla Nagar, Kingsway Camp, New Friends Colony, Delhi Cantt, Rohini Sec 9, Pitampura  and many others. List of all Mobile Store outlets are attached herewith.

 

Total 12 teams will participate in this qualifying league for the FIH World Cup 2014 and the seven-day event will feature 30 matches to be played at MDC National Stadium, New Delhi.

 

Tickets are available for Full-Day basis and priced Rs 50/- and Rs 1,000/- for General Stands and Heritage Block respectively.

 

Daily complimentary tickets are available for former hockey Olympians and international players to witness the Hero Hockey World League Round 2. Former Olympians and international players are encouraged to contact Olympian Mr. Zafar Iqbal to request their tickets. MDC National Stadium has the capacity of 15,000 approx. and is one of the best hockey stadiums in the world. It has one main pitch and two practice pitches with all modern facilities.

 

Dr. Narinder Batra, Secretary General, Hockey India said, “Delhi will see another international event from 18 February onwards at MDC National Stadium. This time 12 teams from different countries will play 30 highly-contested matches here to qualify for the next round of the FIH Hockey World League. We kept the ticket prices low for the convenience of students as hockey is very popular among youngsters.”
