New Delhi, 15 April 2013: The Hockey Maharashtra entered the final of the 3rdHockey India Sub-Junior Men National Championship (West Zone) played at Mumbai Hockey Association Limited Ground, Mumbai on Monday.

In the semi-final match, The Hockey Maharashtra registered easy win 6-0 over Chhattisgarh. Sumit Prasad scored maximum number of three goals for The Hockey Maharashtra followed by Aniket Gurav (2) and Taleb Shah (1).

In another semi-final, Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy defeated Hockey Bhopal 5-1. MPHA scored through Arjun Sharma (20), Amin Khan (24), Sohail Zafar (57), Juber Khan (64) and Abhay Yadav (70) while Sarim Akhtar (7) scored the only goal for Hockey Bhopal.

The Hockey Maharashtra will now take on Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy in the final to be played on Tuesday

Semi-final 1– MPHA 5 (Arjun Sharma 20, Amin Khan 24, Sohail Zafar 57, Juber Khan 64 and Abhay Yadav 70) beat Hockey Bhopal 1 (Sarim Akhtar 7)

Semifinal 2- The Hockey Maharashtra 6 (Taleb Shah 6, Sumit Prasad 43, 46, 56, Aniket Gurav 50, 63) beat Chhattisgarh 0.
