New Delhi, 14 April 2014: The Hockey Maharashtra edged out the host Mumbai Hockey Association Ltd 2-1 in Pool A and enter the semi-finals of the 3rd Hockey India Sub-Junior Women National Championship (West Zone) played at Mumbai Hockey Association Limited Ground Maharashtra on Sunday.

Alaknanda Bagadi scored opening goal for The Hockey Maharastra in the 40thminute. Mumbai Hockey Association Ltd leveled the score in the 64th minute but second goal scored by Alaknanda helped The Hockey Maharashtra to win their last league match. Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy who topped Pool A has already qualified for semi-finals.

In Pool B Rajasthan defeated Chhattisgarh 3-1 while Goa beat Gujarat 2-0.

Both Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh are through to the semi-finals. Semi-finals will be played on Monday 15 April 2013.
