New Delhi, 19 April 2013:  Tamil Nadu defeated Uttarakhand 4-1 in their Pool A league match on the day-2 of the 3rd Hockey India Senior Women National Hockey Championship played at the Major Dhyan Chand Stadium, Lucknow today.

For Tamil Nadu Shenbaga Valli struck two goals in 61 and 67 minutes. Kiruthika also scored a goal for their team. In fourth minutes Tamil Nadu got the advantage of an own goal. For Uttarakhand Anjali scored a goal in 37 minute.

In pool C the match between The Hockey Maharashtra and Kerala, draw played a spirited game to split points with Kerala.

A 60th minute goal from The Hockey Maharashtra has earned a 2-2 draw against Kerala and distributed 1-1 points to the each team in pool c league match.

In Pool G, Odisha beat Himachal Pradesh. Sarojini Ekka (29), Elima Minz (50) andRani Yadav (51, 59) scored for Odisha

In pool E Chhattisgarh got walkover from Arunachal Pradesh.
