Raipur (Chhattisgarh), 16 May 2019: Action in the 9th Hockey India Sub-Junior Men National Championship 2019 (A Division) continued here on Thursday into its sixth day which saw Hockey Odisha, Hockey Punjab, Uttar Pradesh Hockey, Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy, Hockey Haryana, Hockey Chandigarh and Hockey Jharkhand register victories in their respective Pool matches.

In Pool A, it was Hockey Odisha who defeated Hockey Unit of Tamil Nadu 9-0 as Captain Laban Lugun (14′, 39′, 58′), Rosan Kujur (4′, 45′), Ashish Xess (18′, 25′), Rajmon Teli (2′) and Sanjay Ekka (43′) scored the goals.

In the other Pool A match, Hockey Punjab registered an emphatic 10-0 victory over Hockey Andhra Pradesh. Goals for Hockey Punjab came through Captain Rajinder Singh (2′, 48′, 60′), Amritpal Singh (5′, 11′, 41′), Sanjay Kumar (23′, 27′), Gurminder Singh (22′) and Prabhjot Singh (44′).

In Pool B, Uttar Pradesh Hockey beat Hockey Maharashtra 10-2. Goals in Uttar Pradesh Hockey’s victory were scored by Sujit Kumar (40′, 48′, 54′, 58′), Ajay Yadav (7′, 13′, 15′) and Siddhant Singh (29′, 36′, 53′), while Mahendra Chakhale (11′) and Captain Dhairyashil Jadhav (60′) scored for Hockey Maharashtra.

The other Pool B match saw Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy defeat Hockey Bhopal 8-0 as Shreyas Dhupe (8′, 59′), Priyobarta Talem (21′, 24′), Shailendra Singh (44′, 45′), Haider Ali (39′) and Gurumayum Dingku Sharma (45′) scored for the victors.

Pool C’s match saw Hockey Haryana defeat Assam Hockey 16-1. Goals for Hockey Haryana were scored by Roshan (9′, 10′, 44′, 54′, 56′, 57′), Tanuj Sroha (8′, 32′, 34′, 48′, 53′), Sachin (22′, 43′), Deepak (1′), Yogesh Singh (20′) and Captain Vikas (26′), while Assam Hockey’s only goal was scored by Muzahidul Hque (14′).

In Pool C’s other match of the day, Hockey Chandigarh defeated Delhi Hockey 3-0 as Surinder Singh (4′), Sumit (25′) and Raman (50′) scored the goals.
