Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), 24 April 2018: Action in the 8th Hockey India Junior Women National Championship 2018 (B Division) continued here today which saw Andhra Hockey Association and Manipur Hockey secure victories in their respective matches.

In Pool A, Vidarbha Hockey Association were denied an important three points by Bengaluru Hockey Association as the teams played out a 4-4 draw. Goals for Vidarbha Hockey Association were scored by Palak Sawaimul (28′, 31′, 43′) and Yadnya Sangole (56′) while Kaveri Lenkannavar (6′, 46′), Laxmi S Chigadolli (38′) and Navya DJ (40′) scored for Bengaluru Hockey Association.

In Pool B, Manipur Hockey defeated Hockey Gujarat 13-0 to take the top position in the standings. Goals for Manipur Hockey were scored by skipper Pushpa Mayanglambam (33′, 43′, 46′, 55′), Nirupama Thounaojam (29′, 41′, 44′), Shileima Chanu Khaidem (33′, 45′, 54′), Daina Devi Ningombam (7′), Pritampyari Devi Shanglakpam (17′) and Silvia Chanu Kangjam (63′).

In Pool C, Andhra Hockey Association beat Bengal Hockey Association 3-0 to register their second win of the competition. Goals for Andhra Hockey Association were scored by Jyothi Undabanda (14′), Roshitha Pulicharla (44′) and Maheswari Balagonda (68′).
