Jabalpur, 13 January 2019:  Action in the 9th Hockey India Junior Men National Championship 2019 (B Division) continued into its fourth day here in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh which saw Hockey Madhya Bharat, Namdhari XI, Hockey Madhya Pradesh, Telangana Hockey and Hockey Andhra Pradesh register wins in their respective Pool matches.

In the first match of the day, Hockey Madhya Bharat produced a fine 3-0 victory over Assam Hockey in their Pool B encounter. Goals for Hockey Madhya Bharat were scored by Ajhar Khan (52′, 60′) and YashBatham (27′).

In Pool C, it was Namdhari XI who were victorious as they defeated Sports Authority of Gujarat – Hockey Academy 6-2 in a high-scoring match. Goals for Namdhari XI came throughout the four quarters and were scored by Hanspal Singh (7′, 20′, 48′, 49′), Deepak (28′) and Rajinder Singh (34′) while Harsh Bhatt (54′) and Vivek Rajput (58′) scored for Sports Authority of Gujarat – Hockey Academy.

Pool D saw hosts Hockey Madhya Pradesh beat Hockey Puducherry 3-2 in a well-contested match. Goals for Hockey Madhya Pradesh were scored by ShubhamSwami (11′), Mohit Thakur (12′) and Yogesh Kasyap (23′) while T. Manikkavasagan (36′) and P Babu (51′) scored for Hockey Puducherry.

In a Pool E match, it was Telangana Hockey who came out on top as they defeated Hockey Jammu & Kashmir 2-0. Ravi Cheekati (3′) and Mahesh Reddy Rela (35′) scored in Telangana Hockey’s victory.

Hockey Andhra Pradesh were also involved in a Pool F match where they produced an emphatic 7-0 win over Hockey Gujarat. Goals for the winning team came thick and fast, and were scored by Hitesh Rao Lekkala (25′, 35′, 59′), Siva PramodGalla (6′, 31′), BalajiJinde (8′) and ChintalApalli (39′).
