Jabalpur, 12 January 2019:  Day 3 of 9th Hockey India Junior Men National Championship 2019 (B Division) in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh saw Andhra Hockey Association, Punjab National Bank, Bengal Hockey Association, Bengaluru Hockey Association register wins in their respective Pool matches. While, Hockey Rajasthan drew their Pool H encounter with Hockey Him 2-2.

In the first match of the day, Andhra Hockey Association defeated Hockey Puducherry 4-0 in Pool D. Goals for Andhra Hockey Association were scored by skipper Mahesh Alamuri (18′, 53′), Venketesh Gundapaka (28′) and Jonnavaram Samara (60′).

In Pool E, Punjab National Bank registered a narrow 1-0 win over Telangana Hockey where the only goal of the match came in the 16th minute through Kishan Kanojia. While in Pool F, Bengal Hockey Association registered a thumping 9-1 victory over Hockey Andhra Pradesh. Goals for Bengal Hockey Association were scored by Kallu Ali (34′, 39′, 43′, 55′), Sunil Rajbhar (7′), Siddharth Kumar (13′), Kunal Yadav (22′), Manjeet Chouhan (48′) and Faijan Sheikh (58′) while Hitesh Rao Lekkala (25′) scored Telangana Hockey’s solitary goal.

Bengaluru Hockey Association were also in fine form as they beat Hockey Uttarakhand with a fine 2-1 scoreline in their Pool G encounter. Goals for Bengaluru Hockey Association were scored by Govind Raj S (37′, 58′) while Hockey Uttarakhand’s only goal came in the 45th minute in the form of Sumit Kumar.

In Pool H, it was Hockey Rajasthan and Hockey Him who played out a 2-2 draw. Shivam (34′) and Hashanpreet Singh (43′) scored the goals for Hockey Rajasthan while Neeraj Yadav (4′, 26′) scored a brace for Hockey Him.
