Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), 22 April 2018: Action in the 8th Hockey India Junior Women National Championship 2018 (B Division) continued here today which saw Hockey Bihar and Hockey Rajasthan win their respective matches.

In Pool A, Vidarbha Hockey Association and Hockey Madhya Bharat played out a 1-1 draw where Yadnya Sangole (10’) and Aayushi Patel (5’) were the goal-scorers respectively.

In Pool B, Hockey Bihar maintained their winning streak as they defeated Hockey Gujarat 14-0 to register their second consecutive victory. Goals for Hockey Bihar were scored by Kajal Lakra (8’, 26’, 27’, 42’, 50’, 54’, 57’), Puja Kumari (1’, 14’), Riya Kumari (7’, 19’), Mahima Kumari (33’, 62’) and Kumkum Kumari (48’).

In Pool C, Hockey Rajasthan also registered their second win of the campaign as they beat Andhra Hockey Association 4-3. Goals for Hockey Rajasthan were scored  by skipper Beena Pandey (8’, 32’) and Shamandeep Kour (40’, 51’) while Maheswari Balagonda (43’, 56’, 66’) scored a hat-trick of goals for Andhra Hockey Association.

The International Hockey Federation, on Wednesday, announced the appointment of the new FIH Athletes Committee, to be led by Co-Chairs Camila Caram of Chile and PR Sreejesh of India. While Camila Caram has been assigned Co-Chair and Athletes Committee Representative in the Executive Board, Indian Men's Hockey Team goalkeeper PR Sreejesh is the Co-Chair and he will lead the planning and meetings along with Caram.
