Imphal, 16 May 2016: In the first match of the Sub Junior Men A Division National Championship Hockey Gangpur Odisha beat Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy 5-0 in Pool C. Goalscorers for Gangpur were, Nahas Barwa (28’), Prajukt Nag (50’), Manip Kerketta (53’, 64’) and Cyril Lugun (59’).

In Pool C’s second game Delhi Hockey beat Hockey Andhra Pradesh 8-1. Vikash Upadhyay scored a hat trick (15’, 21’, 44’) and Amar Verma scored a brace (50’, 64’) in their victory.

In Pool D Hockey Jharkhand beat Hockey Karnataka 5-4 in an enthralling contest. Denish Tete registered a brace for Jharkhand (5’, 41’) in their victory.

In the 3rd place game in the Sub Junior Men National Championship Division B Hockey Bhopal beat Chhattisgarh Hockey 7-4. Goals for Bhopal were scored by, Sourabh Pasine (18’), Islah Nasir (19’), Mohd Rashid (21’), Zeeshan (30’), Anzar Ur Rahman (40’), Faizan Uddin (51’) and Waseem Beg (61’).

In final match of the 6th Hockey India Sub Junior Men National Championship B Division, Dadar & Nagar Haveli Hockey Association beat Hockey Bihar 3-1. Goals for Dadar & Nagar Haveli were scored by Uttam Singh (9’, 58’) and Lokesh Vats (35’).

Hockey India congratulates PR Sreejesh on being appointed Co-Chair of the FIH Athletes Committee

The International Hockey Federation, on Wednesday, announced the appointment of the new FIH Athletes Committee, to be led by Co-Chairs Camila Caram of Chile and PR Sreejesh of India. While Camila Caram has been assigned Co-Chair and Athletes Committee Representative in the Executive Board, Indian Men's Hockey Team goalkeeper PR Sreejesh is the Co-Chair and he will lead the planning and meetings along with Caram.
