Sikar (Rajasthan), 16 May 2019: On Day 2 of 9th Hockey India Sub-Junior Women National Championship B Division Hockey Patiala, Kerala Hockey, Hockey Uttarakhand, Hockey Madhya Bharat, Hockey Rajasthan and Hockey Gujarat registered dominating wins.

Hockey Patiala’s Taranpreet Kaur bettered her four-goal performance in the previous game, by scoring five in the match against Manipur Hockey on Thursday. She opened the account for her team scoring the first four goals (5’, 20’, 29’, 31’). Taranpreet added fifth to her kitty and her team’s seventh in the 39th minute. Alka scored two (37’, 47’), Captain Mitali (36’) and Sukhveer Kaur (60’) scored one each to close the match at 9-0 in Hockey Patiala’s favour.

Riding on two goals from Prasanna S, Kerala Hockey handed The Mumbai Hockey Association Ltd. their second loss in two days. Prasanna S opened the account for Kerala Hockey in the 10th minute and also scored the last goal of the game in 47th minute to he;p her side to a 4-0 win.

Hockey Uttarakhand handed Vidarbha Hockey Association a 7-0 loss. Khushi Katariya scored four (21’, 28’, 33’, 50’) while skipper Monika Uniyal (6’, 59’) scored two in their team’s win. Hockey Madhya Bharat beat Sports Authority of Gujarat – Hockey Academy 5-1 in the fourth match of the day. Sports Authority of Gujarat – Hockey Academy scored the first goal of the match in 4th minute via Rasvanti Baria but couldn’t score another through the game. By the end of the regulation time, Hockey Madhya Bharat got five on their name through double from Sneha Patel (9’, 47’) and Shileima Chanu Khadem (10’, 30’).

Hockey Rajasthan beat Hockey Puducherry 10-0. Chetnarani Das’s four-goal effort (15’, 25’, 30’, 43’) and a double by Ranjana Bharadwaj (32’, 58’) helped Hockey Rajasthan register the emphatic win over Hockey Puducherry. In the last match of the day, Hockey Gujarat beat Mumbai School Sports Association 6-1. Two goals apiece by Kashish Patel (3’, 27’) and Maitri Solanki (37’, 52’) were the highlight in Hockey Gujarat’s impressive win.
