New Delhi, 03 March 2015: As the much awaited FIH Hockey World League 2015 Round 2 (Women) is all set to commence from 07 March 2015 at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, New Delhi, Poland stepped on the field with full enthusiasm and was seen practicing rigorously to give final touch- ups to their preparations during their training sessions today. They will meet Thailand in their first clash on the opening day of the tournament on Saturday.

The team is high on morale and entirely geared up to exhibit their finest game-skills on the field to put up their best show at the league.

Speaking post the practice session, Poland Head Coach, Krzyztof Rachwalski said “It’s great to be back in India and we are really enjoying the weather and the hospitality here. We have a few days to go before the tournament begins and the team is practicing hard to get together as a strong playing unit. We are hopeful of having a good tournament and making it to the next round. We play our first game against Thailand and we are confident of getting off to a good start.”

Commenting on the team’s preparation, Poland Captain, Marlena Rybacha said “The team hasn’t had a lot of time together and the next few days will be very crucial for us. Although, we have been training with our respective clubs we need these days before the tournament to build the coordination in the team. We will play against India in a practice match tomorrow and it is a good opportunity for us to see where we stand vis a vis a strong side like India.

The matches of the FIH World League Round 2 (Women) will be telecast LIVE and exclusive on DD Sports and is scheduled to take place from 7-15 March 2015.

Ropni was also a key player for the side at the 2023 FIH Junior World Cup in Santiago, Chile and played in all six games.
