New Delhi, 7 June 2013: Karnataka completed the quarter-final line-up with 4-2 win over Services Sports Control Board in their concluding league match of Pool C at the 3rd Hockey India Senior Men National Championship played at Major Dhyan Chand National Polygrass Hockey Stadium, Pimpri in Pune on Friday.

 

Karnataka who led 2-0 at the half time scored through S K Uthappa (17 min), Mohan Muthanna (23 min), MG Poonacha (39 min) and MB Aiyappa (58 min) while Johnny Jasrotia (48 min) and Ignace Tirkey (59 min) scored for Services Sports Control Board.

 

The quarter-final line-up is: Air India vs Railways, Haryana vs Chandigarh, Punjab vs Jharkhand and Karnataka vs Manipur. All the matches will be played on Saturday.

 

Earlier, Sports Authority of India defeated Goa 22-1 in Pool C. Sports Authority of India scored through Sunil Yadav (5, 25 min), Kamlesh Yadav (7, 13, 16 min), Neeraj (14, 44, 50, 52 min), Maskalan Bhengra (15 min), Pal Raju (20, 58 min), Sunil (30, 40, 70 min), Deepak Yadav (43, 55, 59, 86, 69 min) and Naveen (61, 67 min) while Amar Bahadur (10 min) scored the only goal for Goa.

 

In Pool E, Jharkhand beat Himachal Pradesh 3-1.
