Junior World Cup tickets open for sale

Lucknow, India, 22 October 2016: With less than 50 days to go for the Uttar Pradesh Junior Hockey World Cup Men Lucknow 2016, Hockey India has opened online sale of tickets for the tournament which will take place between 8 – 18 December 2016 in Lucknow, India.

Tickets for the event are priced between Rs 50-200 and can be bought at http://ticketgenie.in/Details/Uttar-Pradesh-Hockey-Junior-world-Cup-Men-Lucknow-2016 .

Hosted at the Major Dhyan Chand Hockey Stadium in Lucknow, the event will see hockey’s rising stars battle it out for the trophy in the ten-day high octane tournament.

India’s Junior Men Hockey Team are in Pool D with England, South Africa and Canada. Their opening game is against Canada on December 8^th. They play England on December 10^th and South Africa on December 12^th.

The medal matches will then be held on Sunday 18th December, with the Bronze medal match at 16:45 hrs and the Final taking place at 19:00 hrs (all times are IST).

The Indian Junior team has, over the past months, won the Eurasia Cup, drawn a highly competitive test series in England and, most remarkably, finished fourth in the Australian Hockey League earlier this month. The team is currently in Spain to take part in a 4-Nations Invitations Tournament taking place from 24 – 30 October 2016.
