New Delhi, 6 April 2013: Jharkhand enters the final of the 3rd Hockey India Sub-Junior Men National Championship (East Zone) on Friday at Nagaon, Assam to be played on 8 April 2013.

In the first semi-final played on Saturday Jharkhand defeated Mizoram 3-0. Sudhir Munda scored the first goal for Jharkhand in the 32nd minute. Jharkhand who led 1-0 at the half time scored another two goals through Joseph Nag and Petrus Tiru in the 57th and 59th minutes respectively.

In the last league match of the day Odisha beat Bengal 6-2 in the last league match played today.

Now Odisha will face Manipur in the second semi-final match to be played on Sunday and the winner of this match will play against Jharkhand in the finals.

Semi-final 1- Jharkhand 3(Sudhir Munda 32, Joseph Nag 57 and Petrus Tiru 59) beat Mizoram 0.

 Pool A- Odisha 6 (Amit Chirmako 7, 39, 44, Dipsan Tirkey 14, Suraj Minz 40, Ashwin Kujur 67) beat Bengal 2 (Kundan Kujur 31 and Sah Deepak Kumar 63).

Jharkhand will face Odisha in the final of the 3rd Hockey India Sub-Junior Women National Championship (East Zone) at Nagaon, Assam on 8 April 2013.

Jharkhand defeated Bengal in the first semi-final played today. Pramila Soreng maximum number of three goals for Jharkhand followed by Nisha Rani(2), Betan Dung Dung (2), Ebha Kerketta (1) and Divya Dung Dung (1) goal.

Odisha beat Assam 6-0 in the second semi-final played today. Anjlina Minz and Elima Minz scored twice each while Manju Lakra and Asmita Barla contributed one goal each in Odisha’s victory.
