New Delhi, 26 April 2013: Hockey India announces its Senior Men team for Netherlands tour from 27 April – 9 May 2013. This tour is in preparations for the Senior Men team for FIH Men’s Hockey World League Round- 3(Semi-finals) to be played at Rotterdam, Netherlands from 13-23 June 2013.

Hockey India selector Col. Balbir Singh, Mr. BP Govinda, Mr. Michael Nobbs (Chief Coach) and Mr. Roelant Oltmans (Director-High Performance) alongwith Government Observer Harbinder Singh selected the list of 18 players during the selection trials conducted at SAI Centre, Bangalore on 16 April 2013.

The 18 member squad will be captained by Sardar Singh while VR Raghunath will be the Vice-Captain.

Indian team will be playing seven matches during its Netherlands tour from 27 April – 9 May 2013, including two matches against the National Dutch team and five against Dutch Club teams.

Indian team has already qualified for the FIH World League Round-3(Semi-finals) in February this year. FIH World League is also qualifier for the World Cup 2014 to be played in Hague, Netherlands.
