Bengaluru, 03 July 2018: Visitors Bangladesh were a no-match to the Indian Men’s Hockey ‘A’ Team led by Rupinder Pal Singh as they were defeated 7-0 by the home team here at the Sports Authority of India, Bengaluru Campus on Tuesday.

Playing their fourth practice match in India, Bangladesh who are seeking the right preparations ahead of the Asian Games in Jakarta by playing matches against the India ‘A’ and Indian Junior Men’s Teams started the match positively but an infringement by their defender led to India’s PC which was well-converted by in-form Rupinder Pal Singh in the 13th minute. India ‘A’ team’s 1-0 lead was extended with goals by Gagandeep Singh Sr (20′), Akashdeep Singh (26′), followed by two back-to-back goals by Rupinder (29′, 30′). India’s 5-0 lead was then increased to 7-0 with a double goal by forward Gurjant Singh.

Though Bangladesh made some feisty attempts on goal, India ‘A’ goalkeeper Jagdeep Dayal was alert at the post while the team’s defence stood strong to end up with a splendid win.
