Bengaluru, 02 July 2018: A collective effort by the Indian Junior Men’s Hockey Team saw them defeat Bangladesh 6-3 in the third practice match here at the Sports Authority of India, Bengaluru Campus on Monday.

The home team built on their early lead with Raj Kumar Pal’s third minute field goal. Though Bangaladesh were quick to respond with an equaliser via Rashel Mahamud through a PC in the 11th minute, India worked on a good defensive structure to keep the visitors from scoring.

Though the visitors scored two goals in the dying minutes of the match through Mohammad Ashraful Islam (49′) and Mohammad Mahabub Hossain (53′) they could only narrow the lead to 3-6 but not muster a draw or a win.
