New Delhi, 29 September 2013: India thrashed hosts Malaysia 3-0 in the title clash of the 3rd Sultan of Johar Cup played at the Taman Daya Stadium in Johar Bahru , Malaysia today.

Amon Mirash Tirkey (22nd minute), Affan Yousuf (52nd minute) and Manpreet Singh (64th minute) were the goal-scorers for India.

India took the lead in the 22nd minute after a fine run on the left by Kothajit Singh whose cross came of the stick of Faiz Helmi and fell nicely for Amon Mirash Tirkey to score.

Vice-Captain Affan Yousuf converted penalty corner for India in the 52nd minute to make it 2-0 for India. In the 64th minute Manpreet Singh converted penalty corner for India.

Indian midfielder Harjit Singh was declared Most Promising Player of the Tournament.
