India registered their third consecutive win in the 2nd Asian Champions Trophy being played at Doha, Qatar. India defeated Oman 11-0 in their third match of the tournament on Sunday.

 

India scored through SV Sunil (3rd and 44th minute), Dharamvir Singh (8th minute and 56thminute), VR Raghunath (30th and 38th minute Penalty Corner), Rupinder Pal Singh (33rd and 43rd minute Penalty Corner), Akashdeep Singh (53rd minute Penalty Corner), Harbir Singh (65thminute Penalty Corner) and Danish Mujtaba (67th minute).

 

India took an early lead in the 3rd minute with the field goal scored by SV Sunil through a direct pass from Rupinder Pal Singh. Dharamvir Singh scored another goal in the 8th minute. In the 30th minute VR Raghunath scored via penalty corner and before the half time Rupinder Pal Singh scored another goal for India making it 4-0 on board.

 

India continued their attacking game in the second half scoring seven goals through SV Sunil, Dharamvir Singh, Raghunath, Rupinder Pal Singh, Akashdeep Singh, Harbir Singh and Danish Mujtaba.

 

India will now face Pakistan in their next game to be played on Monday.
