New Delhi, 7 November 2013: India lost to Japan 1-2 in their third match at the 3rd Women’s Asian Champions Trophy to be played at Kakamigahara today.

India took a 1-0 lead in the 33rd minute when Chanchan Devi scored off a penalty corner. Japan got three penalty corners in the first half but the Indian defence and goalkeeper denied any scoring chance to their opponents.

Japan found an equalizer in the 59th minute with a field goal scored by Arai Mazuki. In the 68th minute, Otsuka Shiho scored the winning goal for Japan by converting a penalty corner.

India will now take on the hosts Japan in the final to be played on 9 November 2013.
