Indian Junior Men team entered the final of 2ndSultan of Johar Cup in Malaysia as they hammered New Zealand 3-1 in their fourth league match played at the Taman Daya Hockey Stadium, today.

India dominated the proceedings from the start of the game. Mandeep Singh got the ball rolling with his goal in the 19th minute when his shot from the right beat goalkeeper Richard Joyce.

In the 27th minute Harjeet Singh found the target for India while Skipper Manpreet Singh scored in the 34th minute putting 3-0 on board till half time.

In the second half Benedict Van Woerkom scored the only goal for New Zealand in the 48th minute.

India remains the only undefeated team in the competition so far with ten points from four games. Also India remains on the top of the standings with their two earlier wins and a draw which includes a 2-0 win over Australia, 3-1 win registered over five times world junior champions Germany and a goalless draw against Pakistan in their third match.

Before playing final on the 18 November, India will meet Malaysia in their last league match on Saturday, 17 November 2012.
