New Delhi, 26 September 2013: India secured a convincing win over Pakistan 4-0 in their third round robin league match of the 3rd Sultan of Johar Cup played at Johar Bahru in Malaysia today.

After a goalless first half, India scored their first goal in the 38th minute through a penalty corner converted by Sukhmanjit Singh.

Imran Khan then made it 2-0 for India in the 45th minute as he converted a fine pass from the right by Harjit Singh. Ramandeep Singh then earned a penalty stroke in the next minute and Sukhmanjit Singh scored his second goal of the match making it 3-0.

In the 61st minute, Kothajit Singh broke through on the left and set up a simple tap in for Ramandeep Singh to score India’s fourth goal.

After India’s third win in a row, they are now on top of the league table along with hosts Malaysia with nine points. India will take on Korea in their next round-robin match on Thursday 26 September 2013 at 1535hrs. The match will be telecast live on ESPN.
