New Delhi, 23 September 2013: India continued their winning streak in their second round-robin match, defeating Argentina 3-2 in the 3rd Sultan of Johar Cup at Johar Bahru, Malaysia today.

India scored through Affan Yousuf (23rd min) and Ramanedeep Singh (60th & 62nd mins) while Carlos Ibarra scored for Argentina in the 16th & 42nd minutes.

Argentina took the lead in the 16th minute with a penalty corner converted by Carlos Ibarra. India levelled the scored in the 23rd minute when Vice-Captain Affan Yousuf showed slick stickwork in the semi circle before a reverse stick hit that sailed past Tomas Matias in the Argentina goal.

Argentina were awarded a second penalty corner in the 42nd minute and Carlos Ibarra made no mistake to giving Argentina a 2-1 lead.

India equalises the score in the 60th minute with the field goal scored by Ramandeep Singh, and two minutes later it was Ramandeep Singh again who put India ahead as he deflected in at far post to give India a 3-2 lead.

India will now take on Pakistan in their next round-robin match telecast live on ESPN on Wednesday 25 September 2013 at 1735hrs IST.
