New Delhi, 19 April 2013: Host Jharkhand defeated Rajasthan 11-0 in their opening league game of Pool-C of the 3rd Hockey India Junior Women National Championship started at Astroturf Hockey Stadium in Ranchi on Friday.

Jharkhand who led 7-0 at the half times scored through Poonam Madhuri Tete (2, 25, 29, 59, 70), Rukmani Dodray (10), Anima Minz (14), Birsi Mundu (15) and Rajni Soreng (33, 50, 66) minute while Rajasthan fail to score any goal.

In Pool E, Odisha beat Chhattisgarh 15-0. Birajini Ekka and Surabhi Pradhan scored three goals each in their team’s victory.

In Pool A, Manipur registered 2-1 win over Uttarakhand.

In Pool G, Assam edged out Tripura 13-1. Phulkuwari scored four goals for Assam.
