New Delhi, 25 June 2013: Hockey India today contributed Rs 10.00 Lakhs to the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund to help the flood victims of Uttarakhand.

“Hockey India conveys its deepest concerns for the affected people of the Uttarakhand tragedy and being a national sports body we feel our duty to contribute in the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund. It’s a small gesture to help the state during this calamity” Dr Narinder Batra, Secretary General, Hockey India said.

“Hockey India is committed to making any similar contribution in the future also, whenever it is needed for the cause of humanity” Dr Batra further added.
