New Delhi, 26 November 2014: To provide an opportunity for former India Hockey Olympians and International Players to witness the Hero Men’s Champions Trophy 2014 LIVE in Bhubaneswar, Hockey India today announced that former and international players can avail complimentary tickets to the matches for Hero Men’s Champions Trophy 2014. The tournament is scheduled to take place at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, Odisha from 6th to 14th December, 2014.

Speaking on this occasion, Hockey India Secretary General Mohd. Mushtaque Ahmad said, “It would be a privilege for Hockey India to invite all former hockey Olympians and international players to witness the top teams of the World in action during the Hero Men’s Champions Trophy 2014. Their presence will encourage all the participating teams as well as all the organisers of the tournament. Keeping in mind their immense contribution to Indian hockey, Hockey India wants to tell them that their presence is important.”

India will play their first match against Germany on 6th December, followed by a match against Argentina on 7th December 2014and Netherlands on 9th December 2014.

The tournament schedule is set with two pools of four teams followed by quarter-finals, semi-finals, classification and medal matches. Pool A consists of Australia, Belgium, England and Pakistan, whereas Pool B has Netherlands, Germany, Argentina and India.
