New Delhi, 18 November 2013: Hockey Hyderabad felicitated two members of the Silver medal winner Indian Women Hockey Team at the 3rd Women’s Asian Champions Trophy held at Kakamigahara in Japan from 2-9 November 2013.

Goalkeeper Rajni Etimarpu and Midfielder Soundarya Yendala were presented cheques of Rs. 10,000 each by the President of Hockey Hyderabad Dr. Jayesh Ranjan (IAS) and Secretary General Padamshree Awardee Mr. N Mukesh Kumar.

Rajni Etimarpu was adjudged Best Goalkeeper of the Tournament in the 3rd Women’s Asian Champions Trophy. Indian Women Hockey team lost 0-1 to Japan in the final of the tournament. India opened their tournament campaign on a winning note defeating China 4-2. In the second game India overcame Malaysia 5-1 and losing narrowly to tournament champions and host Japan 1-2 in their third group stage match.
