New Delhi, 19 October 2013: Government Girls Senior Secondary School (Shahbad) came from behind a two goal deficit to win the title of Hockey India 20th Nehru Junior Girls Hockey Tournament 2013 played at Shivaji Stadium on Friday.

In the final played here, Government Girls SSS (Shahbad) defeated Kiddy’s Corner HSS (Gwalior) 4-2.

Defending Champions Kiddy’s Corner who led 2-0 at the half time scored through Karishma Yadav (23rd minute) and Sadhna Sengar (32nd minute).

Government Girls SSS (Shahbad) made a strong comeback at the start of the second half scoring field goal through Reet (37th minute). In the 47th minute Manpreet Kaur scored an equaliser for Government Girls SSS (Shahbad).

Ritu (54th minute) and Reet (58th minute) scored two quick goals for Government Girls SSS (Shahbad) which helped them to win this match.

In the play-off for the third place, Birsa Munda Vidyapitha (Rourkela) beat Government Model SSS (Chandigarh) 5-3.
