Raina Yadav scored four goals as Odisha raced to 14-0 win against Rajasthan in Pool C league game on the second day of 2nd Hockey India Senior Women National Championship at Asih Bagh Stadium, Bhopal today.

Raina Yadav who scored three goals against Tamil Nadu in Odisha’ first match played an important role in team’s victory. Odisha who led 9-0 at the half time scored through Namita Toppo (3), Sunita Lakra (2), Birajini Ekka (2), Nilima Minz (2) and Punam Barla (1). Odisha registered its second consecutive win, in the earlier match they defeated Tamil Nadu 12-0.

Now Odisha will face Hockey Bhopal in their last league match on Tuesday. In another match of Pool C Hockey Bhopal beat Tamil Nadu 13-0.

Defending Champion Indian Railways pulled off a fine 9-0 victory over Maharashtra in its opening match of Pool A. Poonam Rani topped the score list with three goals followed by Soundarya Yendala (2), Roselin Dung Dung (1), Vandana Katariya (1), Anupa Barla (1) and Chanchan Devi (1).

In another match Chhattisgarh beat Gujarat 13-0 in Pool E while Chandigarh beat Puducherry 17-0 in Pool G.

Pool C: Odisha 14 (Raina Yadav 4, 17, 24, 64; Nilima Minz 14, 33; Namita Toppo 19, 39,63; Sunita Lakra 21, 32; Punam Barla 48; Birajini Ekka 28, 68) beat Rajasthan 0.  Hockey Bhopal 13 (Moully Yadav 8, 22,50, 63; Pooja Yadav 10, 28, 66; Mamta Yadav 14; Hemlata Yadav 14, 25; Chanda Gupta 23, 30; Shivani Bisht 57) beat Tamil Nadu 0.

Pool E: Chhattisgarh 13 (Minni 6, 24, 26; Renu Singh 15; Saroj Singh 17, 30,38, 47, 48; Renuka Rajput 56; Balvinder Kaur 65, 66; Rajani Sanger 68) beat Gujarat 0.

Pool G: Chandigarh 17 (Jyoti Manral 1, 12; Reena Khokhar 3, 8, 12; Neeru 7, 29; Navjot Kaur 11; Rajni 37, 40; Neha Rawat 39; Sangeeta 44; 61 Shivani 47, 64; Simran 50 ) beat Puducherry 0.
