New Delhi, 15 November 2013: Army XI routed Oil and Natural Gas Commission (ONGC) 4-3 in the final to win the 118th edition of Beighton Cup Hockey on Thursday.

Army XI dominated the first half and took 3-0 lead by the 17th minute with A P Siraju, S Arumugam and PK Milan scoring a goal each. ONGC reduced the margin through Gagandeep Singh and Diwakar Ram in the first half.

ONGC made a spirited comeback in the second half to make it 3-3 through Mandeep Antil.

A P Siraju scored his second goal in the 66th minute to ensure victory for Army XI. Siraju was named Player of the Tournament.

Result- Army XI 4 (A P Siraju 5 & 66, S Arumugam 10, PK Milan 17) beat ONGC 3 (Gagandeep Singh 26, Diwakar Ram 30, Mandeep Antil 60)
